Lowest base pay of any suburban hospitals, short staffed, unrealistic work load, management hides in the office all day with no offer to help, no unit or floor rotation for RTs, AMITA prefers to hire agency than giving raises, small bonuses, policy that staff must clock out for the 30 min required break, staff can not clock in or out more than 1 minute before start of shift, HR ignores staff concerns or needs, benefit package is over priced and little coverage, turn over rate is ridiculous, management and staff spend good portion of the shift on smoke breaks, ER patients wait up to 2 or more hours just to be seen, even if it's chest pain or shortness of breath, MDs and RNs slow to ship out critical patients that the staff isn't equipped or trained to handle, most NICU staff are rude, inappropriate, and unprofessional towards therapists.
