Pros

WFH makes this job worth it

Cons

Low pay that it’s almost ridiculous. Need to treat employees better with compensation. They talk about returning to the office and if they do they will lose thousands of employees. They pay too little to make going into the office worth it

Pros

- Growing company in a field of high (and increasing) demand - Job security - Remote work (based on client preferences, varies) - Gain experience in financial services/crimes advisory at a reputable firm - Great ongoing training programs - Actively hires entry-level candidates regardless of field of study - Interesting work that is better than most people's responses to "what do you do for a living?" - Solid benefits - Biyearly performance reviews give opportunity for potential promotions (though small) based on supervisors and if you exceed expectations

Cons

- Difficult to find opportunities outside of financial crimes advisory if you're looking for a career change (especially at entry-level) - Intense, demanding workload - Continuous feeling of "burnout" due to long hours, no overtime, lofty client expectations without opportunities for feedback, etc. - Feeling of despair, low employee value, and "running the rat race" without proper compensation/recognition - High turnover (even among C-Level executives) - Limited performance/merit-based incentives for lower-level (Associate Analyst I & II) employees - Feeling of disconnect between employees and executives (take this with a grain of salt due to Covid and Work From Home) - Low pay when compared to industry salaries (banks and financial services consultants) - Company is experiencing rapid growth, however, employees do not reap any benefits - Required training that cannot effect client production expectations - Miserable, cold, boiler plate corporate culture - Little opportunities for employee feedback - Stifles creativity and work bleeds into evenings and personal life due to intensity and client expectations - Increased responsibility without title change or compensation increase - Little communication between execs/managers and analysts

Pros

If you enjoy being miserable and being taken advantage of this is the place for you!

Cons

I was hired and took a pre-employment drug screening in which I was told the results would be back in 1-2 days. I received my equipment and had been working for 2 weeks before I randomly received an email stating I was terminated for "failing training requirements". No one spoke to me about it. At this point I was excelling in all of my training requirements so this made no sense. I asked my trainer and he did not even know that I was fired, let alone why. It took 2 days, 15 emails, and 5 phone calls for me to find out WHY I was fired- I had failed the drug test, which I had assumed I had passed since it had been 3 weeks since with no word. I had quit my job and moved states for this job. The HR department was incredibly insensitive and disrespectful, failing to communicate with me, treat me with respect or provide me with any information. They should not have moved forward with the hiring process let alone waited 2 weeks after my start date to fire me. The complete lack of communication and respect was appalling. I understand why drug screenings are used, but treating employees this way, even in termination, is a disturbing quality that speaks volumes of a company.
