Good starter job, but not a career

Pros

This is a great way to get some experience if you are right out of college or are waiting for opportunities in your field. The company will hire from different backgrounds and pay a semi-decent rate to start off, even to those without any relatable experience. Also, most managers are flexible with schedules should you need to miss a day (it can be made up throughout the week or on a weekend should you not want to take a PTO day).

Cons

There is a cap on when the value of the job starts to not add up. When you do get the experience needed to get a job at a bank, you will find that those positions will pay considerably more. Also, there is a bit of a luck factor with what project you get put on. If you are with a stable client, then the job will not be too stressful, but if you are with a needy/constantly changing client, the job can be hectic and start to significantly interrupt the work/life balance

Pros

Managers value a work-life balance, and are often flexible with schedules.

Cons

Work can be inconsistent based on client demands. The job requires a lot of sitting.

Pros

Great entry level job. They will hire you with no experience in the field. You will get experience with several different clients and engagements rather quickly.

Cons

The company puts on a front that makes them seem to care about their employees, when really the analysts are very disposable. As mentioned in other reviews, they sometimes mass fire and mass hire when client obligations fall through. In my experience, the company has claimed several times that transparency is their policy, when that is not the case. Your experience with the company hinges on what project you are put on. Client to client differences aside, there is a large gap between good managers and bad managers. Some seem to have no leadership experience whatsoever and were thrown into the job and it shows. Others are open and helpful and organized. It’s just luck of the draw. Upward movement in the company seems to depend on whether or not you are married to the job. Dedication/hard work at this company means long nights and weekends with no extra pay and a salary that doesn’t measure up to industry standards.
