Pros

Decent pay, 401k matching up to 50 percent,

Cons

As a maintenance tech I would spend more time looking for parts to fix things than fixing things. I worked on a 100 million dollar complex with six men on the maintenance staff. We all shared one ladder. The service manager received a free one bedroom apartment. Everyone else received a 20 percent discount, Unless there were to many people living on site. In that case you were out of luck. And paid full price. Amli has a very high turnover rate. Amli also has a habit of trying to screw over it former tenants and employees by charging them absurd fees and fines after they move out.

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments, including the positive feedback on AMLI’s compensation and 401(k) plan. I am sorry that you did not have a positive experience at AMLI. We have shared your review with our Denver and leadership teams. Our policy regarding number of free housing units for maintenance staff is similar to many other companies in our industry, but perhaps not all in your market. We do try to balance our need to have someone live onsite with the costs associated with free housing. The larger the property, the more maintenance staff offered free housing. AMLI is committed to Customer Service and it is one of our 7 core competencies by which we run our business. We charge residents for legitimate fees that are included in the rental agreement and related to the condition of their apartment, upon move out. You are welcome to reach me for further discussion at our Chicago corporate office. Regards, Leslie Silverman

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We take pride in our bonus and recognition programs and pleased to hear you found a work life balance while working at AMLI. I am sorry to hear you did not feel we had growth opportunities, as AMLI promotes from within frequently. I wanted to clarify that AMLI does offer personal days after 90 days of employment and sick/vacation begins accruing at that same time. Regards, Leslie Silverman

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments and experiences. I have passed on your comments to the Dallas and senior management teams, as we are always looking for ways to improve our work environment. AMLI operates 7 days per week, so we sometimes schedule employees to work for more than 5 days in a row, depending on when their off days fall week 1 vs week 2. It is a challenge that many companies in our industry face. We hope someday you will consider returning to AMLI, as we often have former employees rejoin the AMLI FAMLI. Thank you again.
