Pros

Encountering different situations will help add experience if you are pursuing something in the medical field. The pay is pretty good and if you're a student, it helps that shifts are flexible.

Cons

Sometimes, if you're a part-time worker it can be challenging to get shifts.

Pros

Company as a whole is a good company to work for. Great team concept for most operations. On a corporate level, The company cares a great deal about their employees. For the most part work shifts are not bad unless you work 24 hour shifts. Good company values, good benefits. Senior Management (Corporate level) is great. Some operations are part of a union.

Cons

Poor pay, no room for promotion or advancement unless your a medic or already in management. Some operations are terrible to work for, as ops manager do not appear to care about employees, only MONEY! Small operations work with old and worn out equipment. Understandable to a point but after an ambulance has 250,000 miles on it, that unit should be replaced. They demand a great deal from you as an employee with no personal recognition.

Pros

Great training and continuing education for employees. Provides good opportunity to work along side fire departments as first responders. Lots of overtime opportunities.

Cons

Low pay, long hours. Often held over no shifts, but really cannot complain due to the nature of the job.
