Pros

-fully remote/flexible work environment -decent salary (after 8 months of fighting for a proper raise) -good experience with a high volume, branded client

Cons

-training was a mess (think thrown to the wolves), only really got halfway decent in first half of 2023 -there is no loyalty and they will lay you off without notice, after confirming multiple times that there are no more layoffs happening

Pros

-Amazing colleagues, I gained some life long friends whilst working at AMS -That’s it!

Cons

- false promises - constant change in process - 3 redundancy runs in 2023 alone - mislead regarding bonuses - loop hole for most situations - CEO sends out his “look what we’re achieving” emails however must live on the moon because that’s the only contact you ever get - burning desire to make everything as complicated as possible (2 hour training calls when the only change needed was an email template) - when those running the accounts make mistakes they rectify them by protecting themselves and making redundancies (making sure they’re safe of course)

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. You're right, we have had to make some difficult decisions and say goodbye to colleagues who work on accounts that have seen a softening in client hiring volumes. The reality is this is a tough economic environment for our entire industry, something we strive to be transparent about, in particular the regular and honest communications from our CEO and other Executives about the climate we are operating in. Please feel free to email engagement@weareams.com if you would like to discuss any of this further.

They don’t care about you

Pros

Good salary and fully remote working

Cons

You are just another number, management do not care about you. The majority of the leadership team have no recruitment experience and are all lemmings that follow what the directors say. Even though you are left to do your work without it being a big brother environment (which is good), There is no drive or purpose to the job, people clock in and clock out. When the redundancies started to happen that’s when they really threw you under the bus, they would rather keep on average staff than people with experience and who speak up. Avoid AMS

Thank you for taking the time to provide your review, and whilst it’s great to see that you viewed our flexible working and salary positively, it is disappointing to hear that you felt you had no drive or purpose whilst at AMS. We are proud of the career experiences we offer which make our colleagues successful, both within AMS and outside. In terms of redundancies, it has been extremely hard to say goodbye to colleagues as a result of client hiring volumes on some of our accounts softening owing to the tough economic environment we, and our industry as a whole, are facing. We try hard to minimize the impact on our colleagues, being fair at all points in the process, and are committed to finding other opportunities for those impacted wherever possible.
