Pros

AORN's mission is to provide education, representation and credentialing to perioperative nurses and to provide optimum outcomes for those undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. Patient safety is their mission, and it felt good to be working for that purpose. In addition, they provide a quite humanistic atmosphere where new employees are made to feel welcomed, and they had a benefits package that seemed pretty great.

Cons

Job security is probably what can be expected for those entering senior age in the market these days

Pros

CEO and other leadership are wonderful. Great benefits, including tuition reimbursement, generous PTO package, fully stocked snack and drink kitchen, on-site gym, etc. The organization is truly dedicated to employee engagement and retention, and is open to feedback. Flexible schedules. Desire to continually improve.

Cons

I don't really have any. My commute is really long, but its worth it.
