Pros

Pay and benefits are decent. Coworkers are skilled.

Cons

Management offers poor direction and is constantly rude and condescending. It starts from the top, ask HR. Employee satisfaction is low. I can keep going, but just check out the reviews below (skip the phony 5-star reviews from January 2020).

Pros

Reasonable technology and some decent people

Cons

Appalling unprofessional senior management who do not understand strategy and look to blame others for their own shortcomings - they fire people on a whim to create a toxic work environment and demotivate staff. They have limited knowledge of APCON's market, of general business strategy and professional business execution - they managed to contract sales in a growing market last year in which all of their competitors grew which takes some doing.

Thank your post and your feedback. We do have some great people working here who make our products shine. As far as your comment on upper management, we feel that an engaged CEO and upper management team is not necessarily a bad thing as they bring in a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table as well as their vision for making sure we not only sustain, but grow the company. I do appreciate you stating that upper management should trust the people on their teams to make sound decisions. We agree with you 100% and we’re working towards empowering our teams to be able to be a part of the positive direction APCON is headed. - Posted on behalf of the APCON Leadership Team.

You Deserve Better Than This

Pros

- The people are fantastic. Some of the smartest, hardest working folks you'll ever meet. - The products are cool and the manufacturing is top-notch.

Cons

- The CEO micromanages everyone, goes on temper-tantrums where he'll fire someone just to make himself feel better, and consistently makes everyone around him miserable. - CEO tries to control the company through fear.

Thank you for your post. I'm glad that you have found many positive things to highlight especially when it comes to our people who are our biggest asset and make our products top-notch. We believe that with a company this size and on a growth path to continue to bring in top talent and make even cooler products as you mentioned, the CEO is engaged in the evolution of the product and is indeed involved in offering his advice and 25 + years of expertise to take the product to the next level. We can certainly learn from your advice and allowing our teammates to be creative and have the flexibility to make decisions autonomously. - Posed on behalf of the APCON Leadership Team.
