      A US point of view on APL/APLL/NOL

      Pros

      APL provided a great learning environment with a tremendous amount of diversity. Good people that worked hard together as a team. At the worker level, everyone pulled together to a common goal and overcame some of the cultural obstacles.

      Cons

      The Singaporean (NOL Group etc.) influence is a bit much. The APL and NOL cultures never really came together after the NOL acquisition. This created a certain obvious ongoing tension in the organization.

      Pros

      Neptune was the market leader in the shipping industry. They are open to colleague's suggestion and ideas. There is a strong bond in this company.

      Cons

      There is alot of competition within the department. In addition, the long working hours that each employee has to endure.
