Pros
This was once a well-run company and some people from the old APL still remain. They can be valuable mentors for young professionals. Not a bad place to begin you career or to tide you over until something better comes along.
Cons
The company has been bleeding red ink. A combination of poor management decisions and bad luck has all but destroyed what was once a great place to work. Lots of employees have been laid off and others have been pressured to resign. Headquarters puts cost-cutting above all else. Management in Singapore often looks down at American employees, whom they tend to view as pampered, entitled and overpaid.
