Pros

Those who have previous work experience with air, intermodal, rail and marine vessel shipping logistics will have a leg up on working for this company as it combines ALL of these skillsets and use of multiple databases and platforms to ensure proper and safe transport of cargo to destination. Benefits are AMAZING. Union positions offer job security.

Cons

If you're new to the shipping or logistics industry, you have an uphill climb. Nomenclature, terminology, abbreviations will be the key to success. There will be more codes to memorize than you can imagine. The Team Members are at the mercy of the partner services (rail delays/interruptions as well as coordination with intermodal parties). Inclement weather events will of course make work more challenging. If you enjoy working with hundreds of data points and have meticulous attention to detail AND don't mind repetition of inspection of data; then this type of work and industry is for you!
