High quality company in general, just wasn't for me long term

Pros

There are a lot of bright people here (like any successful company) and many long time employees who know a lot about many processes. Many of them will not hesitate to work with you to find solutions to issues regardless of the department, both long and short term if the issue is pressing (though there are only so many hours in a day and people can be busy, it's business). In any case just about every one I worked with wanted to work together whenever possible to fix things, even if the end result wasn't as hoped. Trying counts for a lot and at least gives a level of comfort with your fellow employees. If you know what you're doing and have a quality boss above you you'll be given the opportunity to spearhead projects and throw out ideas to improve processes if you take the initiative to some degree, and if you prove your ideas can work and can justify your plans it may become a SOP across the board. The catered lunches weekly I also found a nice touch. Amount of paid time off is pretty decent even when you are relatively new, benefits aren't bad at all in my experience. If you become an asset to the company they won't hesitate to work with you on hours if you have personal reasons they need adjusted (to a reasonable degree of course) as long as it's in a time frame where all necessary tasks are completed and doesn't cause issues with other departments. They often promote from within though your options may be limited depending on your background both within the company and whatever prior experience you may have. Though in my four years there I saw many individuals take on new roles and flourish through their choice. The HR department also was very helpful and nice with any questions, though thankfully I never had any issues with other employees I needed to take to them. I mean in regards to clearing up any questions you may have regarding benefits or things of that nature, or anything else really. Great folks. In general I feel that the company cares about their quality employees for the most part and at the very least will listen to what they have to say regarding business processes and opportunities in an open and respectful manner, even if the higher ups may disagree with your thoughts. I was never afraid to speak my mind and felt our team had open dialogue that was very comfortable the vast majority of the time. Sometimes you'll butt heads but it never progressed to a level of disrespect in my time there.

Cons

Pay raises are not the greatest in my experience (though they are given yearly at least), regardless of how well you may have done throughout your time there. Certain clients can be resistant to change, and you may get stonewalled both internally and externally while trying to improve processes. This isn't too ridiculous as they want to maintain a cordial relationship with clients but it can become frustrating over time when you see obvious potential solutions to ongoing issues but know they won't/can't be implemented in a timely manner, if at all. Like any company with a decent amount of employees there is of course some politics and favoritism and I saw several people take on roles they frankly were not prepared for resulting in handicapping several departments on an ongoing basis on various occasions (though many of these were later resolved with new people taking on those roles in time). Some clients are much easier to work for than others but I will not name them specifically. There seemed to be a lot of misunderstandings as to which departments were responsible for what at times, resulting in wasted time for many people. Often these were cleared up quickly but at other times the misunderstandings continued (or other departments would push back on what others felt was their job) and created ongoing problems. But these sort of things are common in the business world in my past experience as well, and can usually be worked out though the meetings/calls can become heated depending on the issues (though never to an unreasonable level in anything I was involved in). And although the opportunity for advancement is often there, a lot of people seem to hit a glass ceiling. This isn't unique to Armada, not everyone is qualified for better positions.

Pros

If you are at a director level or below, the people are great - every one works together at lower levels, free lunch some days, remote options. So many people accomplish big things in spite of the roadblocks that many Suite leaders continuously put up.

Cons

They always talk about the culture as 'great'. It is the biggest lie. Toxic people in leadership roles, only looking out for themselves and using or promoting other people's ideas and work as their own. There are unstable people who have year's long vendettas against other people who sabotage and stop business from occurring if it would make the other person look good. I have texts and emails to prove it. The entire Senior Leadership Team gave themselves promotions and big raises. They did not promote anyone else. They work very hard to make sure the people who do the work are not paid or bonuses fairly. There are people who have worked here for many years and don't even do anything while others do the work of many people.
