Amazing people, the friends you make, management experience, ease to climb the management ladder and relatively decent pay for low-skill.

Pros

4 weekly pay, can be flexible to work for, staff discount, bonus discount days if the company is hitting targets, annual bonus if your store hits target, free uniform, discounted safety shoes, Training opportunities with City & Guilds and chance to progress.

Cons

Unsympathetic managers, pressure to do the work of 2/3 colleagues on a regular basis, seemingly unfair sickness policy. "If your face fits" treatment of workloads.
