Pros

Do not have to share the territory with many other Account Executives. Typically, there will only be 1-2 Account Executives per territory. This reduces the interoffice competition that you sometimes see in other recruiting companies.

Cons

Your metrics are tied to the number of sales orders you bring in and fill. However, you really only have control over the number you bring in. Orders are filled by your recruiters. The recruiter positions have a lot of turnover so you are constantly trying to train them on how to fill your orders. This makes it difficult to focus on bringing in enough orders to fill, and unlikely that the recruiters will be able to fill most of them.

Pros

There are none that I can think of.

Cons

There was no work life balance. The expectation was to come in early, work through lunch, stay very late and then go and work from home. This was expected and not asked. And when this was not happening (even thought never asked) the employee as put down and belittled for not doing so. With someone having a family working for this company was not an option and very difficult. The management team in the location was extremely difficult to work with and for. Making office life miserable stressful. Training was not provided to a new employee and when management was asked questions in regards to training the employee was told to figure it out themselves. There were no tools to guidance given to the employee to succeed. No wonder why at that time the office was having a lot of turn over.
