Pros

Quite a few of the people that work in the Boston Office are amazing and I enjoy not only working but also hanging out with them outside of work.

Cons

Senior Leadership keeps saying how the heath and safety of the employees are its number one priority yet they are forcing all employees to go back to working in the office twice a week because they want to create a sense of consistency and normalcy. This is a terrible move especially since Covid-19 cases are the highest its been and the best way to reduce cases is for employees to remain working from home. This means that to the senior leadership at Asics America, consistency and normalcy is a higher priority than the health and safety of its employees. It is seriously disappointing since the name ASICS is an acronym for Anima Sana In Corpore Sano which is Latin for A Sound Mind in A Sound Body. It doesn't matter if the office complies with the CDC guidelines, the best way to reduce infection is to let employees work from home. There is very little Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Boston Office. The Asics Instagram account shows a lot of diverse runners but most of the product creation team is white and the target consumer for all the shoes are white, as shown in internal product presentations.

Pros

Good Benefits Nice products Interesting heritage Decent pay

Cons

Very unprofessional peers Gossiping is a very strong culture Growing is about liking people night places, it seems like Asics doesn’t know what is merit is for They marketing strategy is base to mouth to mouth campaigns, they don’t want to spend money on events, but they want get the benefits from. Very rude and unethical upper management.
