Pros

Top notch benefits (health, dental, etc), excellent vacation/holiday/sick leave policy, commuter benefits, and access to merchandise at a deep discount. Great place for sports enthusiasts, as allows employees to enjoy events like Olympics and World Cup or participate in sponsored sporting events. Casual dress code and work environment. Most of the people are great and a friendly vibe.

Cons

Zero training, professional development, or room for growth. Significant disparities between departments on advancement. Salaries are well below industry and regional averages (but aforementioned benefits help). Crazy office politics in some departments. Young, talented staff are on a practical revolving door because of this - especially women, leaving for greener pastures after obtaining a gold star to put on their resume.

Pros

Discounts on shoes. Work from home (depending on your manager/department).

Cons

Low pay compared to competitors. Outdated systems and very out of touch executive team. High turnover. Lots of finger pointing within the company…no one wants to take accountability. HR is a nightmare. I’ve seen them ignore derogatory anti-gay remarks made to other employees. Managers yell at subordinates. There have been multiple wrongful termination lawsuits brought against the company. Minimal promotions/raises. Don’t expect a bonus because the company never hits it’s numbers.

Pros

Southern California. High quality product. Opportunity to travel in many departments of the company. Can be a good launchpad for a career in different companies.

Cons

Frequently rotating leadership in US, yet none seem to be able to solve the puzzle of success. Confusion about company identity, core competencies, consumer identities. Career path is not planned for. Very difficult to ascend if you're a woman due to Japanese ownership and culture bleed from Japan to US office. Salary non-competitive in SoCal area unless you're in upper management. Like many Japanese companies, ASICS is very top-heavy, with many unqualified and unhappy leaders. Culture is toxic and uninspiring. Young people come and leave shortly thereafter due to lack of opportunity to make a difference and/or ascend within the company.
