      Toxic culture, poor leadership

      Decent salary but not worth it.

      Cons

      Toxic workplace, superiors/seniors yell at Juniors in meetings, unreasonable expectations, shifting priorities, expectation to be on call all the time and to work for more than 50 hrs with no additional compensation, poor training, hard work overseen for squeaky work, burnt out and unhappy top performers, wrong people promoted across teams, low quality managers, micro management.

      Interesting Technology, Demanding Workplace

      Pros

      - Interesting technology - Innovative products and solutions

      Cons

      - ASM has no technical training whatsoever. Expect to spend excessive time learning about their hardware and technology. - 1/10 hardware folks are incredibly knowledgeable, and do 90% of the work. The remainder are disconnected from the technology, and expectations for them are asymmetrical to the expectations for process engineers. - Minimum of 50-55 hours per week. Some work 80+, but I refuse. - There are virtually no women in the workplace. Anecdotally I would say 90% are men, and the technical leadership team is almost exclusively men.

      Bait and Switch

      Pros

      Pay is on par with other semiconductor jobs.

      Cons

      Job expectations in practice are different that what was discussed during the hiring process. Expectation was M-F day shift 8-10 hours a day. They under hired and are now demanding night shifts, weekends and working to max of 60hrs/week. Not what we signed up for.
