Pros

Benefits are ok. Leading edge tech - best in the world. Pretty impressive stuff. Some good people that enjoy having a laugh. Social environment

Cons

Chaos. Atrocious management - everything's a knee jerk reaction. Unstable / immature product resulting in constant escalations. No processes and controls resulting in a very political work environment - loads a finger pointing and blame. Ugly. No ownership locally, so much is Veldhoven dictated & decided.

Pros

The products we will be delivering and projects are very interesting and very groundbreaking research , development, production is done here. I definitely enjoy the work and technical aspect of the projects.

Cons

Don’t recommend this place if you’re young and a woman and looking to feel included. I am 100% on site for reference. It’s already a male dominated field as is but I feel like the work culture lacks in female empowerment and support here and also for young people to feel included. Feels like an old boys club for the most part and you will get spoken over by other men constantly. My imposter syndrome has been really bad at this job and it’s affecting my mental health and I feel very lonely and isolated. Lacks in amenities on site and company culture and other companies offer more competitive salaries for less stressful work and a smaller workload, giving me less of an incentive to stay here long term. Can’t speak for all parts of the company but this is how I feel at the Wilton location and my role and work life balance is poor. There’s not much opportunity for professional growth or attending outside conferences and the hierarchy for engineers is very flat for the most part. Management is also dismissive and poor regarding employees feelings rather than supportive and motivating.

Dear employee, It’s important that you raised these concerns. We are disappointed to hear about your experience as ASML strives for an environment in which all employees feel valued, respected and can fully contribute. We invite you to reach out directly to either your manager or to Human Resources, or to use our SpeakUp service (http://www.speakupfeedback.eu/web/awki4vp/us), which you can do anonymously if you prefer, so that we can be of assistance. We also want to raise awareness of our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), a benefit with free services all employees can utilize, and employee networks, such as Women@Wilton and Next, for employees who are in the early stages of their careers. We greatly value your input; appreciate the time you took to write your review and hope that your experience is soon reflective of a work culture in line with our values.

Pros

-Diverse group of people work in this company. -Yearly tech conference is great way to meet new people and get professional connection. -Development of high volume tool which lead to new market opportunity. -Stable demand of product in chip market. -No layoff in last 5 years. -Helpful HR with quick response for inquiry and concerns. -Paid time off, Vacation and holidays. -Opportunity to travel to Asia and Europe. -Coworkers are helpful and friendly.

Cons

-Management expects engineers to work 10 hours/day in office + work from home in weekend. -Poor managers and team leaders are leading project team of engineers which results in delay of project, poor quality of product and stresses in team. -Not sufficient technical resources to complete project with in time. -High turn over of engineers. -Complex and unclear processes and procedures; No training for processes and no ownership culture. -No work life balance due to the long stressful hours in office. -Profit sharing is no longer same(%) all across board. It's less to bottom level employee and more for managers.
