Not a good place to start, LOW compensation

Pros

-not bad in work but compensation is NOT competitive AT ALL -good and smart people to work with -work load is easy if you know what you're doing -work life sort of balance if your location is right -career can be expanded to other location/country -vacation is flexible -company is expanding, lots of new stuff growing -good for a starter if you have no other offers

Cons

-Compensation is a big issue in Wilton location, never pick Wilton location, if you can choose other ASML US location. Compare the wages between East coast and other regions, Wilton is the worst place to pick -Management cannot do anything to increase wage, the whole company is doing some financial structural re-construction, its bonus is cutting down and try to pay less to employee -Compare to some other big semiconductor vendors, the wage is too low. It is NOT a US based company and the wage is not comparable.. -Dutch company, all the high tech and new stuff is in Dutch. US based is sort of a branch site focus on customer service. You will reach the ceiling if you stay long enough and figure out wither you need to leave US to Netherlands to grow your career path or you just stuck in your current position -Since it's not a US company, more often the company tend to not focus the problem having in US employee which results to not solving it... -HR is incompetent to assist employee with their problems especially in Wilton office. They will tell you all the good lies and say they are trying their best to help you but not. If you tell them the wage is too low they will ask you to move into a smaller house or live in an apartment that make you think you earn more in your paycheck. -Try to cost down by hiring foreigners, and exploit them by promising them with working visa/green card process. I think this is general in all US high tech companies, all hiring foreigners because the wage is too low for local that cannot attract them. By hiring foreigners company can pay as little as possible and lock them up by working visa and prolong their staying by green card process.. such a shame tactic. Bad for employee but good for company.. so watch out. -sometimes the Dutch management especially in activities/team build up event will make you think: Dutch people are really experts at being thrifty and practice the art of economical management to a whole new level.
