Pros

Great place to work, c'on talking about abused animals! There are good people there and talking about the old timers. It grew from 200 people tight to 600 and I don't even know half of them. They only hire good looking people- animal maniac, gays, and vegans.

Cons

High turnover rate within and they hire robotic clueless managers! If they don't like your views on something, they look to get rid of you! Such a bureaucratic management from top down. How can they hire inexperienced managers to take the lead. Some of them don't have animals. Not passionate at all and just a easy pay check. This place turn into PETA. They care for money coming in and don't care about loyal passionate people.

Terrible work culture

Pros

The mission and the animals. Benefits are ok. Pay is ok-- but still low for the non-profit sector. (CEO makes $1M+/year)

Cons

Hidden responsibilities. Pro-law enforcement. Pro-euthanasia. No mentoring. No career development efforts. No growth opportunities. Not open to new ideas or views. Value the status quo-- if you want to be valued or contribute meaningfully, look elsewhere. No diversity - only white, cis, hetero, staff in leadership, and in management, and no visibility to company goals or interaction with management. BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ are expected to fall in line, shut up, and comply.
