Pros

Flexible work hours and can work from home. Co-workers are great. Obviously the mission and the fact that people genuinely care about animals.

Cons

Leadership has absolutely no business sense. Decisions are made in a vacuum and in a reactive manner without thinking through the long term cascading effects. No career path or room for growth. Those that are promoted are promoted arbitrarily and usually due to favortism, not necessarily competence. Hierarchy for hierarchy sake. Some departments have layers upon layers with senior employees doing nothing. They need to seriously cut the fat. So many people in senior roles that do not have any background in their particular role.

Pros

Good benefits package. Accessible location.

Cons

HR department overwhelmed with rapid turnover and clueless about the reason for this. Unpopular CEO. Organization is more preoccupied with raising funds than with doing its mission-driven work.
