Pros

friendly people, light workload, no expectations from management

Cons

- pay less than industry standard - vacation time less than industry standard - unless you are a brown-noser and extremely motivated, you will be laid off. - THEY LAY OFF PEOPLE BASED ON THEIR AGE - all of the technology is outdated - 1 customer: Lockheed Martin Moorestown - 1 program: AEGIS (which was cut by the super-committee) - ASRC is the parent company, so MSE needs permission to do anything with its own money. - CMMI level 5 is not conducive to software development - no agile software development, even on short-term deliverables.

Pros

- light workload - flexible schedule - frequently hire new college grads

Cons

- pay less than industry standard - most employees are lazy or incompetent because no one gets fired - everyone else makes more money than you do, but you do all of their work. - unless you are a brown-noser and extremely motivated, you will not be given the opportunity to work on new development. therefore, you will most likely not learn anything here. - what you learn is useless in other non-defense jobs. all of the technology is outdated. - office politics - you need to know someone to get ahead - too much dependence on their only customer, Lockheed Martin - MSE is not in control of its own money. It has to defer to ASRC Federal (it's parent company) - CMMI level 5 is not conducive to software development - no agile software development

Pros

Good benefits, some good employees, a job when you need one for a while.

Cons

Racist, politically driven organization that is not well managed by managers at all levels. Employees are seen as items/numbers. If you expect to grow, learn, and stay for a long period of time - DO NOT THINK THIS!!! This company will not value your contributions nor do they listen to your requests for assistance.
