Work Like a Slave for Potential Good Pay

Pros

High Commissions Benefits that you don't pay for Union Work week that is only Monday through Friday Name Recognition

Cons

When you are hired, HR does not tell you that until a full year of employment you are considered at AT&T a temporary employee, meaning that in a Sales job that at all times during your first year you have to meet sales goals or you will be fired at anytime. Also, you have to work six months to get any benefits and work a year before getting adequate vacation time. The Union is very ineffective and most times it takes months for a problem to really get corrected, and in the division I worked in people who were unqualified or who had questionable sales techniques and ethics were promoted to positions of Leadership

Pros

Good GOOD pay, I was part time so the benefits weren't much. I got vacation and all, the medical insurance was way too expensive for part timers, but dental was still pretty cheap.

Cons

Too easy to lose your job or get written up over trivial things. Most long time employees have been on multiple steps of discipline for different things or barely squeaked by on a final MULTIPLE times. One person is being fired for a bad customer review, where the customers only complaint is that he yawned while working with them.

Pros

Great pay. Great devices. Great cell phone service. Great plans.

Cons

Passed over for promotions continuously. With the new "Rethink Possilbe" they will hire someone who has fresh eyes over experience. Education doesn't mean anything. Those who are in management have less education. Because of the commission structure, sales associates turn into snakes. Management doesn't help groom you into a leader so that you can be promoted.
