Pros

The company isn't going to go under anytime soon. There are actually lots of opportunities to advance if you look for them.

Cons

I'm not totally sure if it's worth it to advance in retail. The stress:compensation ratio is very unbalanced, and only getting worse. Training is good, but in management you don't get initial training until you've been on the job for a few months at least which is too late for some. Unrealistic goals and expectations, not enough support.

Pros

Senior management is willing to support your career advancement if you work hard and show results. Senior management is willing to help you build your career if you reach out to them. The company is large and international and there are opportunities around the world. The salary is good and the benefits are good.

Cons

There are people in the company that have been around for a long time and create a negative environment in the office. The corporate level officers are in all different locations so its hard to network.

Pros

AT&T is a large company with many areas and a reasonable policy for movement within the company. AT&T's compensation and benefits are on par with other companies. The time off policy is good. There are some very professional, talented and skilled co-workers and leaders/management.

Cons

AT&T is reluctant to embrace telecommuting. It manages by the masses, rather than removing dead weight. More and more outsourcing all the time. Ultimately, many decisions seem to be made by legal rather than leadership. Lower and Middle management is pretty inconsistent in quality, policy.
