Pros

Good pay and decent benefits. Casual dress code is nice. I don't really have a lot of good things to say about this company.

Cons

They could CARE LESS about you as a person. You will not get thanked for going above and beyond because it is expected. Since the merger with AT&T the words hostile takeover have been mentioned SEVERAL times. Morale is low and you are never sure if you will still have your job from day to day.

Pros

There are alot of tech areas in the company to learn from and expand your career.

Cons

Made up of so many companies and different management directions that they often collide and have constant course changes. I was with Directv 10 years and worked extremely hard to get there wherer I was and then AT&T came and just started the mass layoffs. Directv invested over 50,000$ in training and certifications for me to be able to do my job and AT&T let it walk right out the door none the wiser.

Pros

DIRECTV loved their employees. They make them their first priority. Great benefits. Wonderful culture.

Cons

When AT&T merged, they laid off a lot of great people. They didn't understand the impacts made. AT&T runs a great business unfortunately the numbers mean more than the people who were dedicated to their job.
