Pros

Fairly decent pay, extremely good benefits package, facade of working for a company with integrity. They pay for your phone service, and give you a new phone every year.

Cons

You are a number abd a warm body, peraonal life? Forget it, you signed that away. They have a total lack of respect and disregard for their employees on a basic humanitarian level. The only saving grace i had was my immesiate manager.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good, but is always changing as the company is trying to find ways to cut costs.

Cons

Union is weak and has poor representation. Managers play head games, and you really don't know day to day if you will even have a job due to the hostile environment.

Pros

Well established compay. Good benefits

Cons

Treated as if you are a slave. If you want to get off on time or make plans to do somethiong after work you might as well not make any plans. Never given time to clean out truck except for the fifteen minutes allowed when returning to the yard at what ever time of night you get there. Given the same amount of time for install regardless of house and no two are the same. I worked for them and I was 100% on everything except efficeincy which was 85% so they kept telling me to go home that the load was light well after two weeks of this I quit can't pay the bills if I don't work. I had the lowest efficiency of the crew but I had the least amount of revisits for quality of work it may have taken me a little longer but the job was done right and the customer was happy. I say this as they preach the customer comes forst and quality is to be 100% as long as you do it in their time frame. I work in florida and did a lot of old people's houses and retired people they like to talk which also slows you down and I am not rude and would take the time to answer their questions but that hurt my efficiency also. Then they never take into account the crappy equipment that doesn't work right out of the box sometimes and getting on the phone for a couple of hours to straighten out a customers order (which I had to do to many times) all this takes away from efficiency but they don't give you credit for doing a great job and taking care of the customer they could care less they are only concerned with numbers and don't have any way of fixing them even when it is their system that is making your numbers bad. There are guys meeting their numbers and working there they get a lot of revisits to fix what they either messed up or didn't do. even educating the customer on how to use the equipment. I have been told by my coworkers you need to cheat to get the numbers well I could not do that. If I am going to do a job O want to do it right or not do it at all.(my own personal code of conduct.) I consider after installing this Uverse system in a few hundred houses that it is a beta system and way to picky - This is a fact if the wiring in your home is not perfect and I mean perfect then you will have problems with this system - Also most repairs I went on that they started having problems seem to either have just been installed or was at a time of two years which seem to be the standard for the service if your house was perfect when installed. I did a lot of repairs and I always asked how long they have had the service and the answer most recieved is two years. I am glad I don't work there anymore as it only paid 15 dollars an hour but you get plenty of overtime just don't try and have a life except working for AT&T. as a norm when I was getting plenty of work the norm was 15-16 hour days and beong chewed out if you should want off on time which was suppose to 5 in the evening but the people who schedule orders would schedule some with a window fron 4 - 9 in the evening. I was told I needed to find another job if I wanted to get off on time to do something with my wife or family. Well enough is enough - Don't believe me work for them yourself and find out. Also never get hurt on the job as they will write you up for it and find a way to make it your fault even if you slip and fall and the norm is to give you time off without pay as a punishment. . ALL and ALL don't get Uverse service as the company hires fast people but don't keep people who do a quality job only the ones who have learned how to cheat the system and keep their numbers up and should they fall under what they want which is 105% for two months then you can say goodbye to that guy because he will be fired or not let work as in my case until you quit.
