Pros

Each of the business units have high focus on people. Overall staffed to the appropriate level for the needs from management and board.

Cons

Multiple business units with many different legacy systems and well established business rules and people make collaboration challenging.

Pros

Great pay, competitive benefit, great 401k, progressive pto, promote within

Cons

Not all are required to do the same as others. If you have more ability than others in the same job, you'll be carrying more of the load. They can't get rid of dead weight, because they don't want to work thru the paperwork. Some people work, some coast.

Pros

If you are a white extroverted male willing to simply do as you are told, it works out just great and you will probably make a good income. They say to challenge the status quo and they encourage a questioning attitude, however, when you do it, you are met with organizational resistance and become an outcast...

Cons

Lack of integrity throughout leadership (i.e. saying they will do something and then don't from an individual and organizational level) Constantly changing business strategy which leads to confusion and a belief that it is just another "flavor of the month" Misrepresented values that don't match actions (i.e. Diversity is a value yet look at the board of directors and top leadership within the business units) Vague position titles that don't match the actual job (i.e. process specialist = no one knows what this means internally and externally) Subjectivity in who and how people get promoted (white tall males that are "yes men" seem to be the best suited for higher positions at ATI) They do a bunch of internal activities that make it look like they are a good company but when you are involved in those activities you start to realize that it is all one big show and lots of puppets. Sucks when you find out that you have been played, for years. Don't get a job here. You will lose your soul and forget all of the good you have inside yourself and replace your self awareness with long, useless procedures that you will wish you had simply taken a different job in a better city. Even if it paid less. Not worth wasting the best years of your life.
