Pros

The people are nice and the work can be challenging. Some employees have flexible work schedules.

Cons

There are no female senior execs. There is a white boys (with stay at home wives) only mentality that prevents real female leadership that hurts the company since they do not have the value of diverse thought. The company is always on the edge of financial Failure and wastes money on meetings rather than employee raises. They keep trying to cut their way to profitability rather than innovating and selling more. No raises for almost Two years and continued cuts to other benefits while asking employees to work more and give more of their lives to the company. They like to drive people out when they get to be too expensive i.e. Old to keep.

Pros

ATI has a great product offering and is considered to be the leader in the specialty metals industry. There are a lot of very talented people and the leaders are committed to growing the company and developing their employees. There is career planning effort that opens the door for an employee to advance throughout all of ATI. There is a strong focus on employee training and development. The company is actively developing new solutions that will keep it on the leading edge of the industry and insure a promising future.

Cons

The commodity stainless portion of the companies portfolio suffers from global over capacity which limits profitability of that product line. The company is countering this situation by actively pursuing the specialty part of their portfolio that is tied to growing markets like aerospace, energy, oil and gas, transportation, etc.
