Pros

I truly loved working at AWeber. The culture is fantastic. The team members are amazing. The team is the best team I've ever been a part of, and I came to work everyday excited to work with them. Super creative and dedicated, and always pushed and challenged each other to be better. The benefits are amazing. I miss the free lunches. It's evident they care about the team members and want them to be well cared for. If I ever get to work at AWeber again in the future, I would consider it an enormous privilege.

Cons

Cross-department and executive communication could be improved. I also felt that we lacked strategic direction from leadership, but the team did the best we could with what we felt was the right direction for the business.

Pros

Nice office even if it is in the middle of nowhere. Casual dress code. Amazing food. Mostly cool people. Actually, one of the most talented groups of people I have ever met. Everyone is an artist, musician, photographer, etc. The customer service team is amazing. Do not envy them at all. Despite being awesome they don't seem to get treated very well. They are sort of exiled to their own part of the building.

Cons

It is easy to get drawn into the company with the beautiful office, free lunches and silicon valley appearance. However, after a few months it becomes pretty obvious why there are so many negative reviews. I typically shy away from Glassdoor reviews but reading them now it is amazing how accurate some of them are. Especially the older ones. As others have mentioned, during meetings the HR team pleads with people to write positive reviews. This always felt a bit dirty to me. Feel like reviews should come organically and not from people begging you to do it. They are probably begging people because of the crazy high turn over rate. I was warned about this by the recruiter before starting but wasn't prepared for 90% of the people I work closely with leaving in the span of a few weeks. That isn't an exaggeration either sadly. There is a massive amount of tech debt that they don't really mention during the interview process. You really only get exposed to it after getting hired on. Had a very contentious relationship with some of the management. They are often very abrasive and often make poor moral decisions. There is a history of mass firings which leads to some people often worrying about their jobs. Again, I'd read some of the older reviews as they are fairly accurate in this case.

Pros

Free lunch...other than that you work your butt off for peanuts and then when the tank is empty they let you go.

Cons

Suck the life out of you for a few years taking everything you have and giving very little in return. Then have mass firings where they let everyone go and start from scratch. Very condescending management and not open to ideas or suggestions.
