Pros

The pay is beyond anywhere I have ever worked. As a general manager, you are paid salary plus bonus on profit. If you do a good job, you are rewarded beyond most other employers.

Cons

There is absolutely no life work balance. Getting a day off is very unlikely. Opening and closing the store is pretty much an absolute. Losing vacation time and personal days is a normal occurrence for General Managers. The great benefits are clouded by the inability to ever utilize them. Working 14 hours a day is normal. There is no family or personal life. You are paid to give up your life and be owned by management. Own it (Company slogan) means the company owns you.

Pros

Reliable 40 hour weeks. The company has been around awhile... Sundays off guaranteed unless your management.

Cons

In the last few years Aaron's has made decisions that lessen their support to their own workers financial stability. Raises were slashed deeply, and managers are chastised if workers get over scheduled hours causing even more strain since the work load changes daily, and is not as predictable as other business types. Workers are sent home if they reach the hour limit leaving those left to carry even more of a work load.

Pros

Good bonus system as well as if you have a good team days can go by fast. Also if you make it 3 months they have a good employee purchase system.

Cons

Everything else I wish I could go into detail but it honestly is that bad. Management is always overworked and home office is in a different state sitting in a high horse. Word of advice go back to credit checking customers especially if it's in a city or a bad area.
