Pay is not worth the abuse

Pros

Pay, benefits and the hourly staff are the only pros of this horrible job.

Cons

Basically on the verge of threatening customers to pay and employees to collect. Job is constantly on the line. No family life even though that's what they preach (family company).

Pros

It has good pay, great benefits package. Always closed on Sundays, closed on major holidays (a rarity in retail) and a decent quality of life. It can be a very rewarding place to work when things are going well.

Cons

You work a lot of hours at Aarons. Management works at least 50 hours, and as a GM I work close to 60 some weeks. The pressure to keep the store growing is immense. Just as the job can be fun when things are going well, it can be almost unbearable when things are not going well.

Cons

Upper management, CEO loudermilk JR, is a snake, long hours, terrible pay, they expect salary employees to work 55-65 hours a week every week, no weekends off.
