Pros

Good pay once you are promoted. Meet a lot of nice people.

Cons

No support from upper management. Whistle blower hotline is open to all employees. If they call it on you you will be fired no matter what proof you have that you were set up or that you did nothing wrong. You will be give a chance to explain but it will not matter. Firing 21 GM's in 1 year? The issue is always the GM and never the lack of help they are given. Very poor training. Very sink or swim company.

Pros

If you're outgoing, you'll get a chance to network and meet all kinds of people and businesses. Due to minimal staffing, you will learn every aspect of the business.

Cons

Terrible hours - sometimes 12 hour days, 6 days a week. The regionals have the "you're salary, so I expect you to work 100 hours." mentality. Speaking of, the regionals in my area got there because of who they know, not ever have accomplishing anything - so don't expect them to understand or have your back. Get ready to chase accounts and show up at customer's houses at 8 o'clock at night to recover their merchandise - and get ready for angry, sometimes violent responses. People don't consider it a legit business, and treat you as seedy salesmen when they realize how much they actually pay for their items when taken to term. Considering the hours, the pay is terribly low and the bonus structure is extremely weak - don't fall for their "this store manager made 12k a quarter in bonuses." I wouldn't recommend this position to anyone unless it's a single person without a degree who wants to get into management in the worst way to beef up a resume.

Pros

You get Sunday and one other day off. Things are pretty consistent from day to day. You will feel better about yourself after you see some of the people they lease to, even more so if you go to their house. This job will suck but you will learn a lot about how to manage which should make your resume a lot better.

Cons

Long days. Pay is just too low for the work you do. Health Insurance is awful. Your deductible is so high it's not worth paying the 70 a week. (family coverage). As a sales manager, you have to handle everything in the store. (service, show room and sales) Not easy and will wear you out. This is not a long term career; their is no one in our district that has been here longer than five years.
