Pros

• Ideal for BCBAs who are self‑sufficient and comfortable navigating their workload independently. • Newer BCBAs do have support available, but it’s self‑initiated—you get out what you put in, especially in telehealth roles where attending QA sessions, office hours, and reaching out proactively makes a big difference. • Compensation is fine, and billable requirements are realistic without feeling overwhelming. • Leadership does make an effort to listen to employee feedback and adjust policies or workflows when concerns are raised.

Cons

This is not an ideal environment for RBTs. Policy changes often roll out with little to no communication, leaving technicians blindsided—such as the recent shift to no longer compensating RBTs for client cancellations that occur while they’re already en route. • That communication gap shows up across the company. There’s a significant disconnect between BCBAs and RBTs, with BCBAs rarely informed about what training RBTs receive or what expectations are being set. • There are no clear protocols for handling ongoing attendance issues—whether from clients or RBTs—leaving supervisors to navigate inconsistencies on their own. • At times, it feels like you simply have to grit your teeth and push through the structural gaps rather than rely on established systems.

Pros

The connections and relationships you get to grow with the children.

Cons

Unethical HR and supervisor practices. Not good at communication skills in the HR department. Almost half of employees just had their salaries cut by 15%. Those same employees who were offered a relocation (moving states) bonus were required to pay it back. Most people are leaving this company due to these unethical practices. It seems that above and beyond can’t keep a decent HR team. Or even a solid group of competent BCBAs.

Pros

They have higher pay that other companies—bait and switch

Cons

-little to no clinical support at certain clinic locations -do not listen to clinical recommendations on referring out (will just reassign to another BCBA) or hours are questioned for clients -HUGE gaps in communication -will say they are receptive to feedback, however, actions show differently
