      Pros

      Banker's is an awesome place to work!! Why? Well, … - Challenging and rewarding work (who doesn't like developing products that protect people?!) - Smart and engaging employees (ALWAYS willing to help!) - Great office perks (Um, can you say "free beer" and shorts?!!)

      Cons

      The only "con" I can see is there may be some pains with the fast-paced growth of the company.

      Pros

      The people are great from the Janitorial staff to the CEO everyone owns their role. It's a great mix of fun and hard work. It's a growing company so it's all hands on deck most of the time, but everyone finds time within their busy schedules to have balance. I've had a lot of jobs in my life and rarely have I ever enjoyed working at a place as I do this one. Perks are free lunch, competitive ping pong, and again the people I work with.

      Cons

      If you're just wanting a paycheck or a strict 9-5 you probably won't last very long. Not that you will get fired but you just won't be happy. You'll be stressed and the pressure would not mesh. I'm sure it works for certain roles in the company but not the Product and R&D departments.

      Good and Bad

      Pros

      First, the positive. The people at Banker's Toolbox are among some of the kindest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. Most folks care about the work they're doing and perhaps more importantly, care about one another. Other major bonuses are—of course—the free lunch, games, beer, team outings, and the happy hours that feel more fun than forced. And yes, the benefits are good, too. BTKB is doing a lot of things well, and I look back fondly on the time I spent there.

      Cons

      No place is perfect, though, and there is plenty of work to be done still. In my experience, the "casual" work environment teetered on extremely unprofessional. More than a few off-color jokes were made on a daily basis, and they VERY often came from folks at the top. I couldn't work in this environment; perhaps others can. This wasn't the main reason I left, but it's something that has stayed with me. Leadership seems to place a heavy emphasis on HR and culture (and certainly seems to read these reviews), so I hope these issues are being addressed. Lastly, certain teams seem to have stronger leadership/processes than others, and there are silos. Consistency and communication is needed all around to get everyone moving in the same direction.

      Thank you for the feedback. While I wish the rating was higher, I'm always appreciative of specific and actionable feedback to help us get better. You note many positives and they are consistent themes for Banker's Toolbox. I want you to know that I hear the feedback around certain leaders and their behavior. We will deal with that and ensure that our environment is professional, fun and welcoming for all Penguins. Finally, I completely agree with the need to better communicate to the entire company, ensure alignment, and get every Penguin rowing in the same direction. I believe we've been better in the 2H18 and when we announce our new company name/brand in early 2019, it will help us all be OneCo.
