4yWhile we do not feel the need to defend ourselves against these fallacious comments as we know our internal procedure, we do want to make it known that all allegations of harassment are taken seriously and are always investigated. We also have many female employees in management positions who are key decision makers in many areas and still with us. Our company was also founded by a woman, Jewel Abt, who worked and ran Abt for close to 70 years.

4yAlmost all of our managers have started in an entry- level position and have worked their way up to management level. With their years of experience at Abt, they know the store better than anyone and have been a huge part of our success for over 85 years. We strive to keep our starting pay rates above average in the current workforce. We have recently raised our starting rates and have given raises to current staff to make up for the increase. If you did not receive your pay increase, you could have seen one of the managers. Our raises are based on merit and tenure.
