Pros

It was a solid learning experience, and it helped quite a bit in the transition between service jobs and office work. I learned a lot about working directly with a very diverse customer base to explain and solve financial issues.

Cons

Corporate practices, including the direct-deposit overdraft loans, didn't serve clients at all. The point of any business, especially a bank, is to make money. However, pushing customers into endless fee cycles always felt wrong, even if it's slightly better than a standard payday loan.

Pros

Good hours, locally based, and enjoyable customer base and location is ideal for an eclectic group of customers.

Cons

The pay is not comparable to most banks, upper management is often not willing to listen to the employees on ways to improve business, many changes have been made that do not benefit the company and in turn makes employees unable to obtain sales goals.
