Pros

Good to gain some experience Met a few really good people here most of which who have either left or intend to leave soon

Cons

Management is nightmare and continuously does things that are borderline if not out right illegal! They do not care about you as a person or your career growth just how much money you can make them. They bend and twist policies when it benefits them Supervisors have a God complex and routinely bully, degrade, and harass you as well as as falsely document things about you in your profile. Half of the supervisors can't even answer basic questions and are useless other than to micromanage employees. Most of them never leave the desk... Serious lack of training and expecting people who are in non-management roles to be responsible for other employees poor performance/driving. Over all a terrible place to work and seriously made me question this whole career in general! They will threaten and follow through with termination if you call them out on the toxic culture there. Unnecessary and excessive disciplinary action that doesn't follow their own policy. They don't care about you getting off excessively late despite preaching about their fatigue policy endlessly. Clique like behavior especially in terms of paramedics and if you're not apart of it you will not grow in your career. These cliques are often time bullies and spread false rumors throughout the place like wildfire. The OM for the capital region has zero nards or ability to run the place so he allows his scheduler to make all the decisions and she doesn't give a care in the world about anything but herself. No motivation, no or seldom recognition (unless you're in the cliques), no morale They will call you on your day off to work or change your shift last minute but God forbid you need to take off for anything. Pto/sick time is pointless here they will suspend you for using it or count it against your absences even with an excuse. Don't miss a single day or be a minute late because you will have a target on your back. FTO's (not all but a good majority) are mostly burnt out salty medics waiting on their retirement or new medics with some kindve pull who train poorly or just don't care. They will clear anyone even if the person is detrimental to the working environment. They praise the ones who sit around, drag their feet, and treat patients terribly but will purposely run off or fire their good employees. Dispatch is so rude and they basically run the place, often against policy. You will be targeted for any and everything no matter how good of an employee you are or how much ot you work for them. They offer some people incentives but not others. Terrible communication within the whole organization. Nothing is ever done to fix any of these issues... this has been going on for years and nothing changes...
