Awesome Place to Work

Pros

This is a family oriented company that allows for semi-flexible schedules and the ability to work from home which is so convenient at times. Everyone is dedicated to helping one another and trying to make the best products possible. Unlike many other software companies, this is truly an 8-5 type of company.

Cons

If you want to work in the office, ATL is kind of in the middle of nowhere. Existing code is overly complicated and takes new hires a long time to ramp up (constantly working to improve this).

Pros

I have worked for large Fortune 500+ companies for the first 16 years of my career. I had enough of that and decided to take a chance on a "smaller" company. It turned out great!!! The people are nice, easy to get along with, intelligent and open-minded. I can see the value my work brings to the company on a daily basis and it is visible all the way up to the CEO. Compare that to larger companies where you design a software app that brings in huge revenue and you dont even get an at-a-boy. The software here is challenging due to its complexity and we are constantly making it better. There is not a lot of hand-holding if you know your tech and create cool solutions to difficult problems. Creativity is encouraged and appreciated!

Cons

some of the tech is "older" but we are in the process of changing that.

Pros

ATL consistently strives to improve its products and customer experience. Management listens to the Scientists and Engineers on suggestions for improvement. There is plenty of variety in the work to keep it interesting and challenging.

Cons

No 401k, though there is a profit sharing plan.
