Pros

Lots of different type of work available for you to choose to specialise in

Cons

Performance management process is a joke! It is based on who you know that will represent you, not your abilities. Lack of emphasis on training- no time given- you have to do it in your own time

Pros

Career progression is well managed and there is a clear process Feedback is frequent People are keen to share and disseminate knowledge

Cons

You will earn more money at McKinsey or Bain for essentially the same job The firm is now so large you feel like a very small cog even when quite senior No longer a partnership so less incentive to work hard to make 'partner' now 'Senior Executive' It's a consulting job, so lots of long term out-of-town travel
