Pros
If you want to learn about construction, this is your place! I was given the opportunity to do some very important things that would normally be done by someone with a much higher pay grade because the people who are actually paid well were either too lazy and/or too incompetent to do these things themselves.
Cons
The pros of this job ended at the part where I learned a lot. My position often felt pretty thankless and I never got the sense that any of my hard work was really appreciated or even acknowledged. In retrospect, I would liken my experience to being ridden like a rented mule.
