High salaries unsustainable for business

Pros

High salaries, remote work, and small teams.

Cons

Frequent layoffs. Non-sensical business decisions. No actions taken from Glint surveys’ poor results. Do not promote from within. Very few in the company have a long tenure with Accuray. They have lost the plot on delivering products for cancer care. Diversity throughout the company is lacking. Very few subject matter experts within the field of radiation oncology are employed by Accuray.

Pros

Cancer does not break for COVID; complex and challenging technology; cooperative co-workers; management that seems to care; HR that is helpful; no lack of things to be done

Cons

NOT for those who hate the details and effort needed to keep a product FDA medically certified; NOT for those who detest a large amount of training, many hoops for changes, all work getting peer reviews

Pros

Great pay Awesome benefits Great business model Great technology Good opportunities for movement Great culture, if you like a laid back work place Fun people

Cons

Fails to meet business model on a continuing basis due to allowing unmotivated individuals to hold and keep upper management positions. They lose long time hardworking engineers and other employees due to corporate politics and management issues that could be dealt with through removal of inefficient employees. Needs an overhaul on communication between R&D, sustaining engineers, technicians, and field teams. Documentation process needs an overhaul to become more efficient. Documentation, authorization and application of eco's, suggested improvements is held up due to ego issues between departments. The process in which communication should be swift and clear is muddied with paperwork and insufficient analysis. Large expenditures on unnecessary parties/meetings, field engineering team resources, and overwhelming overspending on parts and middle men.
