Pros
Lots of interesting customers, learn about all sorts of household appliances and the pieces to repair items in the home, recognize the importance of patience and customer service. Good discount on some products for employees. Coworkers can be great or not so great depending on their attitude. Old timers can be helpful when it comes to product location, weird problems and just understanding what customers are wanting/needing. Time off is quickly approved and management is compassionate to family situations. Manager is generous with free food and recognition of hard workers.
Cons
Some employees want to stand around and talk/goof off while others do the majority of the work. Employees not experienced in tact and respect can treat elderly or handicapped customers disrespectfully. Pay is not the best and standing long hours on concrete can be painful. Insurance program is lacking.
