Pros

Achieve fosters a team-oriented, respectful, and inclusive environment that makes coming to work genuinely enjoyable. As the Senior AV Engineer, I’ve been given the freedom to lead initiatives, make key decisions, and shape AV strategies. Management actively supports innovation and embraces new AV technologies to improve collaboration and hybrid work experiences. There are frequent opportunities to expand technical skills through certifications, vendor partnerships, and hands-on experience with a variety of AV systems. AV, IT, and Facilities teams work together seamlessly, which makes project execution smoother and more efficient.

Cons

The company moves quickly, so AV projects can shift rapidly in priority. It’s exciting but requires strong time management. As the company scales, some standardization in AV practices is still catching up—but the intent and support to improve are clearly there.

Pros

- Engineers are given meaningful challenges that grow their skills without burning them out - Work-life balance is respected — hard work during business hours is expected, but overtime is rare - The mission is grounded in helping people with real financial hardship, and that purpose comes through in the product - Strong internal communication and solid engineering leadership that values transparency and pragmatism - Remote-first culture works well, with flexibility and trust in the engineering org

Cons

- Domain is niche and sometimes stigmatized — “debt relief” can be a tough sell externally, even if the work is impactful - Some legacy systems and tech debt (like any mature product), which can slow things down or create friction - As with many mid-size companies, org changes and shifting priorities can create ambiguity at times
