Good place for teachers

Pros

+ Hard work, but gets easier with each year + Higher compensation relative to other schools + Other opportunities to make extra income; I made close to $100k this year from stipends + Paid summers off + Surrounded by motivated and passionate educators

Cons

+ Principal is out of touch and checked out, but deans do an incredible job + Students can be hard to manage, but they make the work fun!

You will grow in this job and learn long lasting skills. Decent pay, but not enough to survive in NY.

Cons

Working at this school is challenging. You have to be willing to listen to and implement feedback. There’s a lot of pressure to do well. These are all pros if you make them pros.

They don't pay you for a full year's work

Cons

If you're a new hire, they intentionally push back your start date so they can pay you less, even if you sign on/start early Lack of school culture/deans/consequence structure Premade lesson plans are extremely lacking so you have to make your own Start time is 7:20am
