      Pros

      Staff are all in and very passionate. Kids are great. Lots of resources to work with.

      Cons

      Your experience will depend on which school you work in and with which principal you are with. The leadership is alright at my school, but I've dealt with issues around toxicity in the workplace and teacher cliques. There is a lot of staff turnover, especially this year going into the next. They will work you to the bone, so be prepared for that. Leadership doesn't seem to care if you're burnt out because everyone is. Class management methods are very strict.

      You grow amazing relationships with children and families.

      Cons

      Burnt out. A lot of staff are leaving because post covid the demand from the employees has become too much and the pay is still the same. Now they are sending out random bonuses because they know we don’t have staff to do the work so they staff that’s there, so now staff is leaving. Also since the covid and the school hours shorten, hourly employees see a drastic difference in their check. There was no compensation for the hours they taken away. Now we have to scramble for OT hours to pay a good pay check.
