Good Job, Long Hours

Pros

The community in the school building and of course the kids. They make it worth it, building relationships with them, seeing them excel and go on to graduate middle school then high school and go to college, it's rewarding.

Cons

Long work hours, the expectation that working a lot is necessary "to do what's best for kids". Micro-managing and aligning to teach content that sometimes you don't agree with. The pay scale is not as great, teachers should get paid based on years of experience and their pay should increase yearly based on a pre-determined pay scale based on that experience.
