Pros

Mission-driven organization with all of the right values; the amount of coaching and feedback that you receive as a new teacher is phenomenal

Cons

Not all AF schools are performing at high levels and I feel fortunate to work at a school with very strong staff culture because this is NOT the case everywhere

Pros

The students are amazing people. Specific employees are chosen to be pushed and promoted. (Pro if the specific person is "you")

Cons

Because everyone is working so hard, people do not always get recognized for their hard work and success.

Pros

working hard to give low-income kids access to a better education, starts instilling the college mentality at a young age. Fantastic Professional Development

Cons

Long hours, very early start. Hard to maintain a healthy work-life balance. No tuition reimbursement, high staff turnover
