Pros

Teacher-in-Residence is for entry level teachers looking to make a break into full time certified teaching. You often work with a coach or partner teacher, but you may have to substitute solo sometimes. If you need the support and guidance, you will be given it, but only if you ask for it.

Cons

Be prepared for a major change in work life balance. For some people, the pay may not be enough. For me it was. Please be vocal about your own needs and need for professional growth, or they will assume you know what you're doing and throw you the hardest tasks.
