Pros

- Excellent coaching that will help you improve at your job quickly! - Entire school gets on the same page about goals and methodology to ensure we are consistent with kids - Plenty of resources and support to help reach our goals - About 10 weeks of vacation throughout calendar year! Fair pay and lots of opportunities for growth and leadership. - Extremely rewarding organization to be a part of. Frequently celebrate success and growth (on individual, school, and network levels)

Cons

- Long hours (all teachers in building daily from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, if not longer) - Can feel "high pressure", especially when teachers seem to be underperforming - Teacher retention and happiness seems to vary drastically depending on the school

Pros

Achievement First has high standards for their students and their employees but they show their appreciation through fair compensation and a company culture that shows they care about their employees.

Cons

So far I haven't experience many cons. Hours can be long, but that's normal for working at a charter if you want to do a good job!
