Pros

In terms of having everything as a teacher, money is not an issue. Wether you need supplies or materials for your classroom you just need to put in a request. There is a lot of opportunity to teach students other subjects in terms of robotics, school sports, and clubs that encourage students get involved in areas they would not normally get into. Schools usually have normal happy hours for teachers in order to meet and take a load off from the week.

Cons

Where to begin. They hired me to support in Physics and Chemistry and then last minute put me on as support for Algebra and special education, in which I had no certification from. They did not increase by pay either. They will not increase your pay or give you bonuses but rather give you gear that is not needed. They demean kids and have teachers follow this ridiculous system of demotion and promotion. In terms of how they deal with certain situations regarding teacher student relationships, they go behind your back rather than be forthcoming about events that have occurred. I never been so disrespected as a teacher or as a human for that fact. It made teaching that more difficult. As well, the almost want to create division among the community staff. I felt like I was hated because I tried to make my teaching engaging. I did not do the normal status quo type teaching and that backfired for me. With such a large budget that fed kids literally garbage. It was so sad to see that we don't understand how having good quality food in America will greatly affect the outcome of the students in behavior, performance and overall well being. I do not suggest any teacher to teach here unless you firmly put your foot down and make sure that you are able to teach in an effective way the pertains to you.

Pros

Good benefits, great time off

Cons

There was no work life balance. Job responsibilities are unrealistic and they do not train you on how to get everything done. You can be the best at managing your time and being organized but you will never be able to get everything done.
